This is one of my favorite salves to make because this salve can treat various kinds of skin problems. This salve can be used on wounds, cuts, bug bites, body rashes, lip rashes, to moisturize your eyebrows, and cracked nipples for nursing mothers.
I even use the salves to moisture my scalp and hair when I am wearing a protective style. I love how moisturized the salves leaves my twists from root to tip. I only have to use a small amount on wash day.
Also, I use this salve as an everyday hand moisturizer. Whenever I have to wash my hands, I like to use the healing salves. My hands feel smooth and the beeswax allows my skin to fully absorb the product for long-lasting hydration.
I've even used this salve on my scalp since I suffer from eczema. I only apply a small amount to my scalp a couple of times a week. I use this opportunity to massage my scalp which promotes circulation and relieves stress. When you use this salve on your scalp, you will notice that you will have little to no dandruff. Plus, your inflamed skin will be soothed and moisturized.
I recommend using my African Black Soap Shampoo along with this salve. My shampoo will effectively cleanse the scalp and moisturize your hair at the same time. This salve is also safe to use on cradle caps and diaper rashes for infants and toddlers. With the addition of essential oils, you will be providing the skin with much needed antibacterial and antifungal properties.
Here is a list of the ingredients:

- Essential Oils: Lavender Essential Oil
- Nursing mothers should thoroughly cleanse their nipples before breastfeeding. This will ensure that your child does not ingest the salve. Then, reapply the salve after breastfeeding.

- Allow product to sit at room temperature before opening. The product may melt during shipping.
- I recommend that babies, toddlers, and young children do not use the Lavender scented healing salve. Essential oils can irritate their skin. I recommend using the unscented healing salve.
Calendula Flowers are infused in Organic Jojoba Oil for a total of four weeks at my home. I keep my infused oils in a cabinet in my workroom where they sit undisturbed. I also use the flowers as garnish on my finished product.
Golden Jojoba Oil is non greasy and absorbs into your skin with ease. I only use Organic Jojoba Oil in my products and you will find this infused oil in a number of my products. Jojoba oil helps to moisturize your scalp and it helps to alleviate dandruff. Jojoba is rich in vitamins that help to nourish your hair and skin. It contains vitamin C, B, E, copper, and zinc.
Beeswax is a great protective sealant that helps to seal in the oils that are in this recipe. It creates a moisturizing barrier for you skin and you will find that your skin will stay hydrated longer. Beeswax is rich in Vitamin A, rejuvenates the skin, improves blood circulation, and removes toxins from the skin.
Evening Primrose is great to use for inflammated, red, itchy, eczema, psoriasis, and painful rashes. It also improves the hydration of your skin, facilitates the healing process, reduces the appearance of scars, reduces the chances of future breakouts, promotes moisture retention, and calms inflammation. Evening Primrose also helps with eliminating dandruff and stimulates the growth of thicker hair.
Argan Oil is another great oil that I like to incorporate into my products. This oil is a great option to use for lips that are sunburned, dry, or have any form of irritation (rashes). Argan oil has the ability to deeply penetrate the skin well below the surface. This oil is gentle and is hands down one of my all time favorite oils to use.
Vitamin E Oil is another great oil that helps promotes healthy skin. Vitamin E oil can help with minimizing psoriasis and eczema skin irritations.
Lavender Essential Oil is my favorite essential oil to use in my hair and body products. This essential oil smells so divine and it literally relaxes your senses. The aroma calms down your nervous system, body, mind, and senses. This oil is also antimicrobial which means it prevents bacteria and fungi from growing on your scalp, prevents itching, and dandruff. Those that are suffering from eczema can benefit from using this essential oil on their skin.
How to use: Use a small amount on your scalp but you can use as much as you like on your body. This salve is great for cuts, scrapes, eczema, diaper rash, cradle cap, skin rashes, lip rashes, cracked nipples, and insect bites. Nursing mothers should thoroughly cleanse their nipples before breastfeeding. This will ensure that your child does not ingest the salve. Then, reapply the salve after breastfeeding.
